As 2016 came to and end and the new year rang in, we continued to get some great feedback and fish photos send in from our customers.
The highlights were some personal best fish and monsters from Adam Murphy, Ed Nicholas and Shane Clarke
In December we were blown away with this massive landbased GT caught on spin and Tasline Elite by Adam Murphey. He sent us a message from the Cook Islands, explaining the fight was unreal and the braid rubbed over the rocks more than once under heavy drag and still held up to land him the fish. This was one of the best GT's we seen landed off the rocks in quite a while.
Also in December hardcore fisho Shane Clark landed this bus in his home waters in Queensland, just after he spooled his reel with Tasline Elite to try it out.
Ed Nicholas from No Boundaries Oman charters has been using Tasline Elite now for the second season and landed some massive GT's well over 50kg on the line. Also just as impressive are the Bream he has been catching and in January we were stoked to see his new PB Bream of 63cm on PE1
If you would like to try New Zealand made Tasline Elite braid yourself, feel free to send us an email for a free sample card and remember, we also spool by the meter, with free shipping worldwide. It's the best way to order high end braid online
Busted Fishing has just launched a revolutionary service, where customers can order Tasline Elite by the meter online. The braid then gets spooled and shipped within 24 hours, with free shipping around the world.
This is possible with the help of a state of the art spooling machine, which was designed specifically for this purpose.
Customers simply select how much line they would like to purchase and add it to the shopping bag. There are different price brackets and the price per meter gets cheaper the more you buy.
Busted fishing even offers a service to mark the line at a certain length. If for example a customer wants to spool 2 reels with 400 meters each, a 800 meter spool can be purchased at the lower price and the line can be marked at 400m. This results in excellent cost savings.
Once the customer has placed the order online, the braid is spooled, custom labelled and shipped within 24 hours.
Then all that's left to do is for you to catch the fish of a lifetime.

Many of our customers ask us how much Tasline Elite they can fit on their reels. The answer is not as simple as it should be due to many variables. One being that your stated rating of the reel is correct, which is not always the case.
You can roughly work out how much line will fit on your reel with a simple calculator however. This is only a guide.
Our last line calculator was very popular but crashed online so we made another one available for download.
We also have a more complex version available where you can work out how much braid backing you will need for a certain about of mono topshot.
We are pleased to announce Tasline Hollow is back at Busted Fishing !!
And of course same as the solid range, it's made in New Zealand from only the best Spectra fibers available.
Tasline Hollow braid is 12 strand, with no coatings or additives, leaving it silky smooth and supple so it's easy to splice for a seamless and knot free connection with 100% strength.
There are 100m spools available which are perfect to make your own windon leaders, whilst the larger spools are suitable for applications like backing on game reels.
And as always, we include all the information on the spool so switched on anglers can make the most informed decision possible :
We believe Tasline Elite Hollow is the best hollow braid available.
This week we had some more great customer feedback. First from Ed Nicholas who runs No Boundaries Oman charters in southern Oman and is famous for putting customers from around the globe onto mega GT's. He caught and released some cracking Bream to 60cm. Some amazing fish.
Looks like Ed also had some fun on the lighter gear with the "small" Gt's inshore
Customer Allan Winston came over to get his reel spooled up with some Tasline Elite for a trip to Greenly Island and we were stoked when we heard he wasn't disappointed. He managed this cracker Kingfish and a 27kg Samson Fish.
The guys from Morningtide Fishing are extreme in their approach to landbased game fishing and Tasline ticks all the boxes for the guys. And as always, the results speak for themselves.
The guys aren't sponsored in any way so we were very happy when Morningtide made a special mention in their new "which line" video and it's refreshing to see guys are still having fun while talking about fishing tackle.
December 2015 we introduced our brand new 8lb, 12lb and 15lb Elite White lines. This line is also made in New Zealand by Tasline and the 8lb and 15lb is 6 strands whilst the 12lb is 8 strands of pure braid. So now our customers can be confident to get the best quality line in the lighter class as well.
In 2013 Busted Fishing started selling Tasline All White, sourced through SAS Braid.
In 2014 the Tasline All White label was changed to the SAS label but it was still the same line. In 2015 SAS Braid had problems supplying us and when these problems continued Tasline in New Zealand offered Busted Fishing the distribution rights to their Elite range. We have designed our own label for those lines, which is what you see here today.
